Inventory Levels Increased But Remain Low - Bellingham Is Still A Sellers' Market
Designate a "to-go" basket, which you throw in your car. Throw in any clutter laying around the house - stacks of mail, newspapers, etc.
Clear ALL items from kitchen & bathroom counters and wipe them down.
Remove mats from bathroom floor, hang “for display only” towels on towel racks (buy new towels to hang just for showings)
Open blinds and turn on all lights. If weather appropriate, turn on a gas fireplace. If it will be dark outside when a potential buyer is viewing your home, turn on exterior lights, to lead their way to the front door.
Air out the house before a showing, if possible. Spray non-scented odor remover. A home overwhelmed with a home-cleaner scent appears to be covering unpleasant smells.
Close closet doors, toilet seats.
Remove cars from driveway, remove all signs of pets (including pet bowls, hair/fur) and take pets with you, if possible.
